For the installation of catenary, the TW80 provides a vehicle system which carries out the different steps of aerial line installation in a simple, safe and effective way.

The pole installation train comprises units for both-sided drilling of pole holes in normal as well as in stony ground and a pole loading vehicle as well as a crane for pole setting. For concrete works, it is provided with a mixer as well as silo vehicle.

The wiring vehicle is able to accommodate up to 6 cable reels and to install two wires simultaneously, i. e. contact wire and messenger wire. resp. feeder and earthing line. It features a continuous tractive force during reeling and unreeling and maintains tension of wires. The unreeling roller is lifted by the loading crane which is adjustable in height and can move sideward.

The vehicles for inspection and maintenance works at the overhead line are equipped with a flexible working platform up to a height of 22 m, crane basket or lifting rotating platform up to 1000 tons, as the case of application may be. Pressing units for contact wire and messenger wire are hydraulically adjustable for precise positioning. The driver's cabin is provided with automatic measuring pantographs for contact wire height and lateral position, video recording set, cupola for observation of contact wire and all control elements. Furthermore, the vehicle features a workshop area and a crew's space with complete equipment.
